Composites in Sport 2018 will return to Holywell Park Conference Centre at Loughborough University, UK, on 3rd and 4th October and the call for speakers is now open.
Speakers are requested to submit potential topics and a short explanation via the website. The deadline for the call is 16th March and accepted speakers will qualify for the special rate of £225. Topics should relate to the use of composite materials in sport to include, but not limited to:
Sporting success is often the result of marginal advantages, whether that is in terms of the individual competitor, their training regime, or the equipment they employ. In pursuit of these marginal advantages, composites are now the material of choice for many sporting goods where their benefits in terms of high stiffness, low weight, protection and customisation are enjoyed by elite athletes and enthusiastic amateurs alike.
Composites in Sport will explore new composite material developments in sports-related applications including equipment, safety wear, apparel, prosthetics and infrastructure. It is aimed at material developers and suppliers, manufacturers, researchers, regulatory bodies and athletes of all abilities.
Following feedback from the 2016 edition, the conference is now taking place over 2 days; maximising opportunities for sharing knowledge and networking. Visit http://compositesinsport.com/ to register and take advantage of the early bird offer available until 24th August.
